My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Silver Bells (aka Bella) is a gentle and sweet pup who has had a hard life (she is a breeder surrender). Though she is still very timid, she is ready to be surrounded by love and have the chance to be someone's most loyal companion.

Bella is friendly with everyone, but still getting used to people approaching and petting her - she tends to shy away before you earn her trust. She prefers slow introductions and a safe space of her own (like a crate) to retreat to when she needs space, especially if there are visitors around. She comes out on her own time to say hello, explore, and observe what you're doing. She enjoys long naps throughout the day near you. She is learning to trust humans again and making great progress - and treats help! Every day with me she has opened up a little more (including wagging her stub!), and with continued love and patience, she'll continue growing more comfortable everyday! She will make an amazing companion.

My foster dog is good with: dogs, probably kids too if they can approach calmly
My foster dog is: crate trained, house trained, low shed
3 Keywords for your pup: Sweet, shy, curious.
Energy Level (1= calm, 10= high energy): 2
Barker? Or Quiet Pup?: Quiet, barks occasionally if there's a new person or she wants to go outside
Walking Manners: Still learning to walk on a leash
Appetite: Good.
Does the following: nervous around new people and places, likes to snuggle up a short distance from you and watch you while you work or cook
Favorite Things: Soft blankets, treats, observing whatever you're doing
Commands/Tricks: Learning "sit"

ALL adoptions require a completed application and final contract. The application can be found at  WaldosRescue.org  and once you are approved to adopt you will be put in touch with the foster to see if it’s a good match. We are a RESCUE not a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks during the application approval process. We are unable to contact every applicant for every dog.  We will select the best applicant for each dog, based on the dogs needs.

Waldos Rescue Pen is a 501c3 whose primary focus is rescuing dogs from the euthanasia list from high kill shelters throughout the United States
