My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

*Name: Penny
*Age: 2-3 years old
*Current Weight: 44 pounds
*Rescued from: Local Stray Massachusetts
*Adoption fee: $600 (includes $50 refundable spay deposit & $50 refundable positive training commitment deposit)
*Health: Up to date on vaccines - not yet spayed - will need to happen within 60 days of adoption

Penny was found as a local stray and we think she was dumped. She is a very sweet and playful girl, and has been adjusting so well despite all she has been through. We suspect humans did not treat her very nicely and that she may have been planning to be used or has already been used for breeding as she is still in tact. Our best guess is that she is a bulldog/staffie mix of some kind.

Penny is available for adoption and we think the best environment for her would be with someone patient and loving, who will put the time in to train her with positive reinforcement methods to learn to walk on leash (she pulls now) as well as basic manners. She is obsessed with human atttention and so far has been pretty neutral about other chill dogs. She is crated trained and seems to be potty trained as well. With a new home environment adjustment she may of course have some accidents. Proper management guidance to set her up for success will be provided by our team.

Penny loves loves loves snacks and has an underbite that causes her tongue to always stick out. She makes little piggie noises and loves her toys and to run around and play zoomies. She is short and stout and very strong. She takes treats politely and we look forward to adopting her to a home where she will blossom and know unconditional love. She is being fostered locally and is available for meet & greets.

To apply to adopt, fill out an application at www.rescueallthedogs.org/adoptPlease note that RnR is a volunteer-based organization. While volunteers review applications as quickly as possible, it is helpful if you review the following information about our adoption process:

LISTED BREED(S) & AGE: We are taking our best guess on age, breed, and size when fully grown, based on the dog's physical appearance and what we might have learned about one or both parents. We rarely know a dog's exact age or full breed mix of dogs, as our information is usually limited.

RNR’s ADOPTION PROCESS: The first step in adopting or meeting one of our adoptable pups is to fill out an application at www.rescueallthedogs.org/adopt. Once we receive your application, one of our volunteers will contact you, review our adoption process, and answer any additional questions you may have. It is important to note that we do not go on a first-come-first-serve basis for adoptions but on the best fit for a family and, most importantly, the dog.

MEETING ADOPTABLE DOGS: Meet and greets will not be scheduled until your adoption application is submitted and reviewed.

APPLYING ONLINE: When completing an application, please do so from a computer (not a mobile device); make sure you answer ALL the questions in as much detail as possible and that you receive a confirmation email.
