This helps NYC Second Chance Rescue with pet care costs.
We want to introduce you to a very special mama named Francine. This 5-year-old Bulldog has already endured more than her fair share of hardship, and we are determined to right the wrongs done to her. Just before Christmas, Francine was tied up outside St. Michael’s playground in Queens. She'd recently given birth, and by the looks of it, not to her first litter. She arrived at our Center looking utterly defeated. Thankfully, Francine rang in the New Year with Nikoli, the Good Samaritan who found her and brought her to our rescue. Nikoli agreed to foster Francine for a few weeks while we worked to find her a safe, loving home.
Francine is a sturdy 48-pound lady with a heart of gold. She’s currently on antibiotics and thyroid medication and has a minor heart murmur (grade 1-2). In a few weeks, she’ll need a follow-up to adjust her medication and have x-rays and an ultrasound before she can be spayed. But she's safe and warm, on the path to feeling her best. Francine has been doing well in her foster home, enjoying walks with Nikoli's resident dog. She's still decompressing, resting, and getting cuddles from her foster dad. We would love to find Franny a loving home where she can continue to heal and be adored as the star she is.
If you can give this brave girl the happy life she deserves, please apply to adopt Francine today!
