My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Chorome, a loving 4-5 year old Terrier mix girl who’s looking for her forever home
She's currently in Vancouver, BC

This affectionate girl was born blind, but that doesn't stop her from spreading joy and warmth to everyone she meets! Chorome adores people, and she'll happily request pets from both friends and strangers alike and loves to be by their side. While she’s friendly with other dogs and eager to make new friends, she can't always catch their signals. She’ll need a slow and proper introduction due to her unique needs. Ideally, a home where she is the only dog would be best for her safety. She is untested with cats, but shows no prey drive and no aggressive behaviours.

Chorome is low to medium energy. She is leash trained, but sometimes stops when she's in a new place. She’s 100% house trained, crate trained, and she isn’t aggressive or possessive over food or toys. Chorome does bark when she's playing or when a sound startles her.

Chorome was found on the street and sent to a kill shelter

More about this rescue

Adopt Korean Rescue is a volunteer-based federally registered not-for-profit organization dedicated to helping homeless and unwanted dogs in South Korea find a new home in Canada.

We love Korean dogs. Many of them live in chains, give birth on the side of the road, or wander around with their pups. Some of them get caught and end up at dog meat farms or high-kill shelters in South Korea. They luckily meet us just before euthanasia or after many years of living in dog meat farms. We exist to hold their paws and help them find a forever home in Canada full of joy and happiness.

Our dog rescue work depends on our flight volunteers. They help us safely bring our dogs from Korea to Vancouver or Toronto airports, where the dogs will find loving forever or foster homes.
