Meet Taffy, picked up by one of our officers on 12/23 and brought to the Mesquite Animal Shelter. My Dog Scanner app suggests she is a mixed breed with possibly English Pointer, American Fox Hound and Jack Russell Terrier in the mix. Taffy weighs 57 pounds and is about 4 years old. She has recently had a litter of pups. This girl has the sweetest, most mellow and lovable personality. She seeks out and happily receives loving attention. Taffy has the most stunning soulful gray eyes. She walks nicely on a leash. She did her business in the yard so may be house trained. She knows the sit command. She was not especially interested in treats. She is well behaved, does not jump on you and is calm and gentle. She would seem best suited to a quiet home with a person or family with a laid-back lifestyle. You would not have to spend long with Taffy to grow fond of her. She would love to have a home in which she can live inside with her people and be an important part of the family circle. She deserves a lifetime of commitment and all the TLC she can get.
