Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
This little guy has been on quite the adventure. Captain Crunch was rescued in rough shape, but you’d never know it now—he’s done a full 180 and is living his best life!
Captain Crunch is the perfect mix of chill and playful. He loves head and chin scratches (seriously, he’ll melt for them) and doesn’t mind being carried around like the prince he is. When he’s not lounging in a sunny spot for a nap, you’ll find him running and playing with his foster feline sibling—he’s super social and would love a furry friend in his forever home!
Oh, and did we mention his looks? Captain Crunch has the sweetest pink nose and the most gorgeous eyes you’ll ever see. He’s a total heart-stealer.
If you’re looking for a calm, affectionate buddy who knows how to have fun and relax, Captain Crunch is your guy. He’s ready to sail into his forever home—could it be yours? IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.
Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adopt
All of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.
ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. If you are seeing our pets posted in your state, that's because you live near a transport stop, they are not currently at that location.
Petfinder lists our pets as "Out of Town" pets at other locations, and Adopt-a-Pet lists our location as a Transport stop. Those are currently the only options they offer to make this clear, so we put this description we've put at the bottom to explain it. You can read more about transport here: www.charmingpetrescue.org/transport
We understand transport is not an option for everyone, but we offer it at the cost we pay the transport company for those who wish to adopt from us.

More about this rescue
We're a home-based rescue, so there's always someone around to care for the dogs. Most of our dogs are allowed to roam the main yard (as long as they behave themselves), and we have several food and water stations throughout. Every evening, the dogs are tucked into our kennel building with soft bedding.
Our focus is family-friendly dogs who get along with everyone. Of course, we sometimes don't know a dog's temperament until we meet, but we work hard to ensure dogs are going to the right homes for them.
Mission Statement
To provide rescue, rehabilitation and new loving homes for dogs that have been living on the street, abused, abandoned and removed from high kill shelters.
