My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

**Fostered in Hillsboro, OR and ready for meet and greets!**

If you’re looking for a sweet and cuddly boy who thinks you are his world, then I have the guy for you. His adorable ears will captivate you as they go up, down, in-between, or one of each. And if that’s not enough, he’ll win you over with his personality. Regal has excellent house manners, he’s smart and eager to please, and he’s amazing with other dogs. He’s loyal to the core and wants to be by your side in all you do.

Regal is still a pup at just 11 months old, but he has a mellow matureness to him that will leave you surprised he’s so young. He has a nice medium energy that will do great on walks, hikes, and play sessions with friends, but then will take a nice long nap while you work or cuddle up on the couch together. He settles well in the house. He’s a quiet boy who doesn’t bark much but he will whine when he wants something.

We think Regal may be a German Shepherd and Lab mix, but with rescue it’s always a guess. He is between 50 and 60 lbs and probably won’t grow much more. He has the softest fur and these beautiful brown eyes that will melt your heart. Regal is the kind of dog you could take to doggy daycare. He’s the kind of dog you could take to the local café or brewery for an outing.

Regal’s manners are impeccable. He is fully potty trained and hasn’t had any accidents in his foster home. He doesn’t counter surf and instead will sit patiently next to you when you eat, just in case you want to share. He doesn’t usually jump up for attention either. He’s not destructive and he doesn’t chew things up, even his toys!

Regal is a smart boy who has already been working on some basic commands. He is eager to please and listens well. He already knows “sit,” “wait” when at an intersection, “let’s go” when it’s time to go again, and “leave it.” He is good in his crate, but does have to be pushed into the crate. He will do best with someone who is home most of the time and can keep him on a schedule so he knows what to expect. He has no reactivity on leash and enjoys a good walk, but he can pull at times.

Regal is looking for a home with another dog to help him feel more comfortable and confident. He absolutely loves other dogs and thrives in their company. He also needs a yard where he can play with his doggy sibling, play fetch with his people, etc. He would love to take a walk each day to explore the neighborhood and get some exercise too. He has been around cats before and done well, so we think he could do well in a home with a cat. Regal enjoys kids above the age of 10, when they are a little less unpredictable and can respect his space.

You don’t want to miss out on this sweet boy, he’s a real catch! Apply below!

Your adoption fee is considered a donation towards actual costs.

Why adopt from Three Little Pitties?

The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it!

Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be!

It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks:

• 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.)
• A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week)
• One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan
• 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan
• Coupons for a fun visit to Petco
• Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup!

We celebrated our 6 year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 12,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes.
