My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Milo!

Hi, I'm Milo! I'm a 6-year-old Catahoula Husky mix with a heart full of love and a spirit that's ready for adventure. I was found in Fort Nelson, and while they tried to find my owner, it seemed like no one was looking for me. So, I decided to hitch a ride down to Chilliwack to find a warm, loving home where I could feel safe and cherished.

I'm a good girl and know basic commands, I love toys and I'm quite fond of scent work. Though I do prefer being around people over being alone. I think it's because I'm a little scared of being abandoned again, but I'm learning to trust and let my guard down.

If you're looking for a loyal companion who loves to be by your side and enjoys the company of kind humans, I just might be the perfect fit for you! Let's make some memories together!

The Chilliwack Branch is an Animal Protection Centre for pets who have been rescued from abusive or neglectful homes. The Centre is open to the public by appointment only due to the security issues associated with housing animals awaiting the outcome of legal proceedings. We will accept surrendered animals by appointment only, and we are open for adoptions on special occasions.

The BC SPCA Charter is the foundation that guides the work we do:

Whereas:

The world is inhabited by many species sharing a common ecosystem of air, earth, and water. We recognize and value our interconnectedness with all animals.

Therefore:

The BC Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for the animals of the world we share.

We pledge our energies to inspire and mobilize society to create a world in which all animals, who depend on humans for their well-being, experience, as a minimum, five essential freedoms:

1. Freedom from hunger and thirst
