My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Have you been looking to add a new bundle of fur to your home? Well let me introduce you to Sally!

Being the smallest of her litter, Sally sure makes up for her lack in size with her big personality! At just 10 weeks old, this gal has lots of energy to spend making memories in her new forever home.

Cuddles, pets, belly rubs, playtime with toys, Sally has a hard time picking her favourite thing. When it comes to quality time, Sally is not picky about the activities when hanging out with her people.

Though she may be small now, Sally is going to be a big girl, with lots of love to give.

If you think Sally may be your newest family member, hit the link below to fill out a pre-adoption questionnaire, or stop by the centre during our open hours!

Through its locations and operations across the province the BC SPCA provides emergency medical care and sheltering for more than 37,000 animals each year. The society also conducts more than 4,600 cruelty investigations and provides a wide range of advocacy and education programs for domestic, farm and wild animals through its Provincial Office.

Our mission, vision and charter is at the heart of all we do to rescue, protect and care for animals. It is also the driving force behind our animal welfare and education programs.

Our Charter:

The BC SPCA Charter is the foundation that guides the work we do:

Whereas:

The world is inhabited by many species sharing a common ecosystem of air, earth, and water. We recognize and value our interconnectedness with all animals.

Therefore:

The BC Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for the animals of the world we share.

We pledge our energies to inspire and mobilize society to create a world in which all animals, who depend on humans for their well-being, experience, as a minimum, five essential freedoms:

1. Freedom from hunger and thirst

2. Freedom from pain, injury, and disease

3. Freedom from distress

4. Freedom from discomfort

5. Freedom to express behaviours that promote well-being.
