Rescued at a young age, Saku has since been given a clean bill of health. She’s up to date on all her vaccinations, spayed, and micro-chipped, ensuring she’s ready for her forever family.
Saku is an energetic and intelligent pup who thrives on adventure and playtime. She’s a fan of long walks, romping around in the backyard, and playing a good game of fetch. She is great around other dogs, she’s shown positive signs of friendliness and enjoys making new canine friends. With even just a 20-minute walk each day she is easily one of the most relaxed German Shepherds we have been around. She is completely happy to chase after squirrels (with zero success!) for hours in the backyard if you let her. She also loves a good hoof or antler and it will keep her busy for an hour. Saku would thrive in a household that can offer her exercise, mental stimulation, and love.
This clever pup is crate-trained, leash-trained, and house-trained. She’s a quick learner and already knows basic commands like 'sit,' 'stay,' 'come', and 'kennel.' Given her sharp mind and eagerness to please, she’s ready to master even more tricks with a patient, dedicated owner. Saku’s ideal home would be one with a secure yard, as well as a family who’s ready to continue her training journey. While it’s hard to say goodbye, her current family’s change in living situation means they can no longer provide the active lifestyle Saku needs—but that’s where you come in!
