My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Nova!

Nova is an 11-month-old, 56-pound Aussiedoodle with a heart of gold and a calm, affectionate personality. She and her sister Remi were found running in the KY countryside, but Nova is now safe and looking for a loving family to call her own.

This gentle girl is heartworm negative, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, and spayed. Nova is fantastic with kids, dogs, and cats, and she’s currently living peacefully in a home with all three. She’s house trained, crate trained, and walks beautifully on a leash.

Nova’s favorite activities include cuddling with her people and enjoying quiet moments of affection. She’s laid back, not overly energetic, and thrives in a calm environment. While she adores most animals, chickens are not her favorite!

Nova’s sweet, submissive nature makes her an ideal fit for someone looking for a low-maintenance, loving companion. She’s ready to bring joy and serenity to her new forever family!

More about this rescue

Peace4paws is a 501 (c) 3 non profit public charity centered in Northern New Jersey. Through our foster home system, we are able to support the rehoming and adoption of dogs from kill shelters as well as facilities of research and related fields. Founded in 2007, our initial mission focused on supporting sanctuary and forever homes for animals retired from use in research and related fields. In the past few years we have broadened our scope of rescue. We continue to help our own retired research animals and independent sanctuaries but also save shelter dogs. We are able to do this work through the efforts of our volunteer network and generous donors. Please see our website or facebook page "Peace4Paws" to meet our adoptable dogs, success stories or volunteer opportunities. We organize fundraising events centered around yoga, music, health, or animal friendly activities. We are also involved with student outreach and education. We would love to work with you.
