Here's what the humans have to say about me:
The very definition of a glorious shepherd mix, Chase is as amazing as it gets. He is all about love, loyalty, and sticking close, as if he's tethered to his people with an invisible rope. Whether we stroll around the shelter, or head out into the dog run, he's not distracted by all the other dogs! Chase LOVES people, laying at our feet, on our laps, or within the area, making him the biggest charmer. In foster, Chase also REALLY enjoyed interacting with everyone at TTUVM, and all the other dogs! His obedience skills are ALWAYS on point, too! Someone else put every bit of work into him, just so that YOU don't have to! Chase is beyond intelligent, and borderline a genius, he's crate-trained, house-broken, knows all of the basic commands, walks splendid on the leash, has a solid recall a majority of the time, and above all, is SUCH a good boy! If you can't tell, I am outwardly impressed with this dude! He's everything anyone could ever want in a dog, down to the PERFECT size of being big enough to go anywhere, (about 45 lbs) yet ALSO portable enough! Chase loves adventures, whether it entails a trip to Petsmart, a nice hike, or just a brisk walk in town, he is happy with any and all! I haven't even touched on JUST how sweet he is, either! He loves everyone, and everything, approaching life with a loose, relaxed nature; and he LOVES being loved on (thankfully, otherwise I'm not sure what I'd do with myself, he's just TOO perfect!) One last amazing quality of his is definitely his willingness to be go-with-the-flow, but in an orderly fashion. He's a star in our doggy playgroup! We KNOW Chase will do WONDERFUL in just about any home with knowledge and/or experience with herding breeds.

More about this shelter
We are a non-profit organization out of Monticello, IA specializing in the care for dogs and cats that need us. Our care does not stay local, as we take transports from all over the United States, and adopt all over as well!
Our mission's primary focus is to help reduce the homeless pet population by finding homes for spayed/neutered pets, and helping educate WHY this process is so important, and the proper way to care for pets!
