My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Blitzen is a hambone, evidently; and in the best way possible. As he wiggles his butt when approaching anybody that excites him, he wobbles over to give kisses. At about 8 years old, and 45 pounds or so, but DEFINITELY a CHUNK, we think he will do wonderfully in most homes. He's just that type of guy! He loves other dogs, and even puppies! We believe Blitzen to be the very best companion boy EVER. Especially at his wonderful age, he has that love for relaxation, snuggles, and all of the peace that comes along with an older boy! Don't get me wrong though, random zoomies are this guys' way of LIFE! He is eager for everyday, every morning, and after every nap, but not long after, he's ready to curl up in a ball, or rest his head on your lap to give you all the love you'd ever imagine.

More about this shelter

We are a non-profit organization out of Monticello, IA specializing in the care for dogs and cats that need us. Our care does not stay local, as we take transports from all over the United States, and adopt all over as well!

Our mission's primary focus is to help reduce the homeless pet population by finding homes for spayed/neutered pets, and helping educate WHY this process is so important, and the proper way to care for pets!
