Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Asher! We can't get enough of this pint sized guy around here! From his exuberant, lively, and oh so lovely personality! At about 1 year old, weighing in around 35 pounds, he is that PERFECT companion size, where he's large enough to do stuff himself, and portable enough to take anywhere, everywhere, or nowhere at all! On those lazy nights in! Asher is beyond a quality dog, as he's cuddly, friendly, and beyond all means; SO INTELLIGENT! He's the type of dog you could train to do ANYTHING, and most likely only within a few minutes! He's confident, and beyond personable as he greets everyone with a wiggly butt, wagging tail, and SO MANY kisses! Don't get me wrong, he may sound like the energizer bunny, but don't worry, he isn't! Asher has a special interest in nap time, whether it's in the sun through a window, or out in the dog yard, he finds comfort just about anywhere! It is the most darling thing, every time he finds the perfect spot to rest, he either circles around a few times, begins digging a little, or will ruffle up a blanket to get his bed juuuuustttt right! Based off of his great behavior with us, we believe he is house-trained! We also know for a FACT he is crate-trained, and knows all of his basic commands! Especially for a beef liver treat! Asher will do splendid in just about ANY home!

More about this shelter
We are a non-profit organization out of Monticello, IA specializing in the care for dogs and cats that need us. Our care does not stay local, as we take transports from all over the United States, and adopt all over as well!
Our mission's primary focus is to help reduce the homeless pet population by finding homes for spayed/neutered pets, and helping educate WHY this process is so important, and the proper way to care for pets!
