Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Arawn the man! At about 3 years old, and a bit under 40 pounds, he makes for a solid size, age, AND personality! From his perky yet droopy ears when he's alert (to a treat!) to the way that he wiggles his whole body when he's excited about something, he is a doll! Arawn has gotten along well with all of our other dogs here, and also enjoys the company of the volunteer kiddos whenever possible! Arawn has a thing for some playtime, and will surely never pass it up, even if that's how people are breaking through his initial shyness - he simply can't resist! Arawn, with his adorable looks, and unique looking coat, moderate energy level, and smarts; will make a really wonderful dog in most homes! We reckon he could find himself fitting in just about anywhere, as long as he's got his very own home, to love, and be loved, he will be one happy camper! Arawn seems to have the basics of housedog living down, so we believe he was someone's loved boy before making his way to us, and he's looking for that love again! So if you can't resist him like WE can't, come meet him, he is simply amazing!

More about this shelter
We are a non-profit organization out of Monticello, IA specializing in the care for dogs and cats that need us. Our care does not stay local, as we take transports from all over the United States, and adopt all over as well!
Our mission's primary focus is to help reduce the homeless pet population by finding homes for spayed/neutered pets, and helping educate WHY this process is so important, and the proper way to care for pets!
