Shurrrrlee—the name we affectionately call Shinx, the beautiful, darling baby female Pyrenees. Shinx thinks, shurrrrlee everyone loves her, wants to give her all the attention, play with her, and dote on her day and night! Shinx makes herself at home wherever she goes. She came right into her foster home with all the older Pyrs and it was as if she had been there forever. She loves to play and can wrestle with the best and biggest. She equally enjoys laying on a dog bed mouthing and wrestling or just curling up with her best buddy for a nap. She is crate trained and will enthusiastically run in for her meals or a treat at bedtime or when you need to go away. She is great on a leash, rides well in the car and is ready to join you to go out and about for adventures. This sweet girl loves her people and attention. She will need a younger, playful male dog in her home—no females for Shinx as she is truly all Pyr in attitude! She loves to lean into her foster mama for affection and will try to nibble her hand. She was a little jealous when the new puppies came to be fostered but quickly learned to play with pups her own size. Shinx will require a home with a secure fenced yard (5 ft please) and a family with large breed experience. Apply today to get an interview with Shinx!

Our goal is to assess every application on its own merits. Key considerations are: 1) the experience of the applicant with large breed dogs 2) children in the household or regularly visiting the household are ready for a large-breed dog who is a guardian by nature and 3) the sex of other dogs currently residing in the household to avoid same-sex aggression issues. For puppies under six months old, the applicant’s ability to socialize the puppy with older dogs is a priority.
