My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Missy is a sweet, easy-going, and calm little lady who`s looking for a new couch to settle on. She loves meeting everyone, and is very gentle with her greetings. Missy enjoys short walks, is fully potty trained, and sits nicely for baths, nail trims, and vet visits. She`s lived with both cats and dogs, and she doesn`t mind other furry companions as long as they respect her nap times. She enjoys following her favorite person around the house when they`re home and keeping an eye on what`s going on in the house. Missy loves to sleep on the bed with you or make her own nest of blankets under the bed. She even knows `sit`, `stay`, `come`, `lay down` and several other commands! This girl is truly a very special pup.

Missy`s only struggle is with her allergies that require her to have daily meds and a special diet. However, she eats every bite of food in front of her and takes her meds easily each morning with her food. She also may need regular medicated baths which she accepts really well.

More about this shelter

For more than 50 years the Neenah Animal Shelter has been there for all kinds of animals in all conditions. When they have nowhere else to go, they can come to us, and we will help them find a new start in life--another chance to be loved.

In 1958 we opened our doors to take in the first of these heartwarming creatures. Since then thousands of animals--from street smart cats and white-faced retrievers to newborn kittens and bouncing pups--have come through our doors needing food, warmth, medicine and a forever home.

Please continue to support our shelter through adoptions and donations. With your help we can be there for the loving, trusting animals that depend on us for years to come.
