Cashmere is a 1 year old Lhasa Apso x Miniature Poodle mix who will fit into your life as easily as your favorite sweater. Cashmere was rescued from the shelter as a matted lump of hair covering a bright smile. She was all alone in a kennel and tugged at our heartstrings. We knew we needed to give her a makeover so we scooped her up and promised her an amazing future. One groom later and our Cashmere blossomed from her previous coat looking fabulous! Cashmere weighs 11 pounds. She has a non-shedding coat that will require regular grooming and is an option for homes with allergies. If you’re ready to expand your sweater collection, you won’t find a cuter item than Cashmere!

Cashmere is a cuddly and loving girl who can’t wait to find her new best friend! She is a total people person type of dog who would love a human to spend every minute of her day with. She loves being held and enjoys wandering from human to human as they shower her in love and kisses. Cashmere is the perfect level of energy for just about any home. She is both a lounger when you want to spend the day relaxing on the couch and a playful pup when you want to get your steps in. She is figuring out fetch and will happily zoom after a toy or a tennis ball over and over again. Cashmere is what we call a “velcro” dog, she’s happy to weave between your legs as you go about your day. She is the little boss in her household and will let you know when she’s ready for more treats or another round of cuddles. As she is still young, she’s learning the rules of the road of doghood but she’s very clever and eager to please her humans. Cashmere is so sweet and affectionate and would thrive in a home ready for a best friend/shadow. She will prance alongside you on any path you lead her down, just as long as you have a smile on your face and love in your heart!

Cashmere wakes up around 5:30 AM for a quick potty break before going to her pen for a nap. She wakes up about an hour later for breakfast and a morning walk. Her human has a hybrid schedule so she either heads to work with her foster mom or lounges in the home office. She gets a few walks during the day, keeping herself occupied with her toys and the backyard. Once the workday ends, she goes on another walk before she enjoys her dinner. Her evenings are spent playing and cuddling on the couch with her foster mom and canine foster sibling. After one last potty around 9 PM, she goes into her crate for the night as she drifts off to sleep.

Cashmere lives with another dog currently and they get along well. She loves meeting new humans, especially when they immediately bend down to scratch behind her ears or rub her belly. Cashmere is learning how to walk on a leash and is making great progress. Interested homes should be prepared to discuss their plans for training and socialization, as well as continued coat maintenance. Ready for your new favorite sweater? Adopt Cashmere!

Cashmere is only an option for homes who have owned a dog of their own in the last 5 years. Kids should be over the age of 9.
