Meet Bailey, a super sweet Jack Russell Terrier mix with a love for singing and making new friends! If it were up to Bailey, she'd be surrounded by people 24/7, as she absolutely adores company. When she's not serenading you with her little tunes, she's the best snuggle bug around, always up for a cozy cuddle session.
When Bailey arrived at Anderson Animal Shelter from their partner shelter in Oklahoma, she tested positive for Heartworm. The staff believes that the best place for Heartworm positive dogs like Bailey to be while going through treatments and recovering is with a loving and forever family like yours.
If you choose to adopt Bailey, the clinic staff will be with you every step of the way, answering questions and offering support. The process from detection to the final treatment is generally three months and involves some simple at-home steps to keep her safe while she recovers. The last step in the process is a follow-up test six months after her treatment begins. The Heartworm treatment process is highly successful, and the staff anticipates that Bailey will fully recover! Yeah! And you should know that Heartworm can only be transmitted from animal to animal by mosquitoes.
Bailey is ready to find her forever family and fill your home with love, joy, and plenty of snuggles!
Stop in and meet Bailey in person during our adoption hours. For more information, email info@ahconnects.org or call us at 847-697-2880 x: 0, and the staff will be happy to help you.
Our dogs and puppies go home spayed/neutered, microchipped, heartworm tested (6 months and over), and up to date on core vaccines, heartworm, flea, and tick preventatives. Their adoption also includes a free-vet exam at one of our participating veterinarians.
