Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Comet is a fun, loving, sweet, people-friendly and playful, six-year-old, 70-pound, male black and white pit Boxer/Pit Bull/Husky-mix with striking blue eyes looking for a loving guardian.
He is full of kisses and tail wags for every human he meets. He is perfectly housebroken, and well-behaved in the home. He’s happy to go for walks and runs and snuggle on the couch, in your bed, or in his dog bed.
He is fantastic in the car and loves to hop in and go for a ride. He’s fine sitting quietly in the back seat and great during a dog bath. He is well-trained and knows all his commands, and is easily crated.
Sadly, Comet’s human passed away and he had been kept as a house and yard dog for the past few years. He’s never been to doggie daycare, or dog parks, so he’s not accustomed to meeting new dogs. He gets fearful and growly. So, he’d be happiest as the one and only pet in the home.
Comet is healthy, neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, heartworm-tested and on preventative, and microchipped.
If you are interested in meeting and possibly fostering or adopting Comet, please fill out an adoption application at https://friendsofpetraits.com/dog-adoption-application/ and follow up to meet him by e-mailing friendsofpetraits@gmail.com
His adoption fee of $175 benefits the Friends of Petraits Rescue. He comes with everything you need to care for him: crate, food, bowls, leash, collar, toys, etc.
He is being fostered in Chicago’s Andersonville neighborhood.
