Faith is a calm and easy-going 10-year-old male dog who was brought to the shelter as a stray on December 21st. He has a low energy level and enjoys leisurely walks, pulling minimally on the leash and occasionally swaying on his hind legs. Faith is housebroken and allows all handling with a gentle, relaxed demeanor. He’s great with people, offering soft eye contact and low wags of his tail, and he enjoys treats without hesitation. Faith has no interest in play or toys, preferring quiet companionship. He’s a friendly, mild-mannered senior boy who would be a wonderful addition to a peaceful home.

Behavior Notes:
Walksheet Notes: Faith was taken on a walk by volunteers 12/21, 12/23, 12/27-31. Volunteers noted that Faith had low energy and showed no issues with kennel, leash, shyness, mouthing, or jumping. Volunteers noticed Faith limping on December 27 and 30. Faith is described as gentle, easy on leash, docile, loves treats.
Per Volunteer 12/31/24 Faith is such a sweet boy, he seems confused at the shelter. He loves treats and is very easy to handle/walk. His skin definitely needs some love and further attention, but it doesn’t seem to bother him. He relieved himself immediately once outside. Hopefully he can find a loving home asap!
Faith's walk sheet as of December 23rd: Faith was taken for a walk on December 21st and December 23rd. During their walk on December 21st, no issues were noted and their energy level was listed as low. Dog on dog behavior was noted as Faith had a dog meet with Bing: "good on leash, gentle senior boy!' During Faith's walk on December 23rd, no issues were noted and their energy was again listed as low. Interaction notes include that Faith is 'easy-going; very easy to handle'. It was also noted that Faith 'likes treats' and 'allows all handling'.
Per staff 12/22/24:
KENNEL PRESENTATION:
Faith was lying on his bed curled up when i approached. He remained lying down curled up but allowed me to reach in and place the leash over his head. Once it was on him and secured he slowly stood up and exited the kennel.
LEASH SKILLS:
Pulls minimally, sways on his hindlegs at times
Housebroken
HANDLING:
Faith was very calm and mild mannered in the room. He sniffed around the room and then came back over to me with a neutral body and soft eyes. He took treats gently when offered and allowed all over handling without any problems and would stand calmly beside me. When a new handler entered he walks over to her and gave some low wags and leaned against her while she pet him.
