If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
Mid October '24 I adopted Charlie (Tilt) from KCPP. He is ~3.5 years old. I have a 13 year old Boxer and a 2.5 year old Goldendoodle. Charlie started bulling my older dog. My younger dog stands up to Charlie and they get along very well. I am a widower and live along. On two occasions when I had a woman visitor Charlie immediately became protective of the women to the point of charging my older dog. He is very protective of women. A big issue for Charlie is a small (toy) dog. Recently, at a local dog park, Charlie latched onto a Frenchie and did not want to let go. No blood was spilled and no skin broken, but a disturbing few minutes. As I take my dogs to the park almost everyday, this is an issue that I can no longer deal with.
Charlie, in the right situation is and will be a great pet. The last thing that I want to do is return him to the shelter.
