Meet Cal, a 4-month-old male tabby kitten who is the definition of adventure! With his striking striped coat and curious, wide-eyed expression, Cal is always on the go, ready to explore every nook and cranny of his world. Whether he’s climbing, leaping, or finding new ways to entertain himself, Cal approaches life with boundless energy and excitement.
Cal’s adventurous spirit doesn’t stop him from being incredibly affectionate. He has a sweet, gentle purr that’s always ready to be shared with anyone who’s lucky enough to give him some attention. After a long day of playing and exploring, you can find him happily purring in your lap, enjoying the quiet moments of love and affection.
He especially loves to play with his siblings—Bode, Cere, Greeze, and Merrin. Together, they engage in exciting games of chase, pounce, and tag, and Cal is always the one to lead the way with his energetic bursts of joy. His playful nature and social personality make him a perfect companion for anyone looking for a fun-loving, affectionate kitten.
Cal is ready to bring his adventurous spirit and sweet purring companionship to his forever home. If you’re looking for a kitten who will fill your days with playful energy, laughter, and snuggles, Cal is the perfect match for you!

Adopt a new furry friend
Our volunteer foster homes get to know their fostered animals well and understand their personalities—allowing us to make great matches between people and pets! Let us know about your family situation, current pets, and the type of pet you are looking for and we can guide you to animals that would be a great match.
Our primary adoption site is the Angel’s Wish Pet Adoption and Resource Center at 161 Horizon Drive, Suite 106 in Verona-just a few minutes from Madison. Visit adoptable animals, and get acquainted in private visiting rooms. Open hours are Saturdays 10am to 4pm and Sundays 1pm to 4pm.
We also hold weekly adoptions on Sundays from 1pm to 4pm at Petsmart East in Madison at 2216 East Springs Drive.
Stop by a regularly scheduled or special “mobile” adoption event at locations throughout Dane, Jefferson, and Rock counties. Please see our website to see where the pets will be next!

More about this rescue
Angel’s Wish is an all-volunteer, nonprofit 501(c)3 organization founded in 2000.
Mission Statement
Angel’s Wish is dedicated to reducing animal overpopulation, rehoming companion animals, and raising awareness of animal welfare issues in South Central Wisconsin.
Why are we called Angel's Wish?
Lois Lawrence, a founding member of Angel's Wish, once rescued a kitten from a construction site. Weak with starvation, dehydration, and a severe upper respiratory infection, neither veterinary treatment nor Lois’ love and care could save the kitten from the effects of that hot June day. Angel died that night in Lois' arms. We believe that Angel's Wish would have been that no other animal be subjected to pain, suffering, abandonment or neglect.
About the Animals of Angel’s Wish
We divert animals from ever arriving at area shelters, and as space allows, assist rescue groups and shelters. We accept only animals we have space to care for, and euthanize only for severe medical or temperament reasons. Animals stay in their current home or are cared for in volunteer foster homes until adoptive homes are found.
