My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Kira, a young, friendly soul with a gentle spirit. She`s the embodiment of love, wrapped in a shy, cuddly package. Kira`s world is filled with simple joys. She delights in long walks, chasing after her favorite ball, and basking in the sun. She`s a little timid, but once she warms up to you, she`s a friend for life. Her shy nature is a testament to her gentle demeanor. Kira is also very friendly, her tail wags at the sight of both old friends and new. She yearns for a family to call her own, a place where she can give and receive endless love. Kira deserves a home that will cherish her and help her come out of her shell. Adopt Kira and gain a loyal companion who will fill your life with love, laughter, and the purest friendship.

More about this shelter

We are an open admissions shelter, meaning we take in homeless animals regardless of age, breed, health, temperament or lack of space. On average, we take in about 5,500 stray, surrendered and abandoned animals per year including dogs, cats, small mammals, birds and reptiles. We provide adoption services to find safe, happy homes for these pets; and also provide low-cost vaccination and microchip clinics to help safeguard them against illness or being lost forever.
