Yam is a super sweet and loving beagle who's come a long way from her rough start. After overcoming some challenges, she's now thriving and full of energy, affection, and joy. Yam absolutely loves to play, especially when she gets the zoomies and runs around with pure excitement. She's a happy, tail-wagging girl who can't wait to find a family to share her love with!

One of her most adorable quirks is her "happy hop - when she gets excited, she hops in place like a little bunny, and it's absolutely impossible not to smile! But when the playtime winds down, Yam is all about snuggling up and giving sweet, loving cuddles. She's the perfect balance of playful and affectionate.

Yam would thrive in a home with a fenced yard where she can run, explore, and burn off her energy. She's ready to be your loyal companion, and in return, she'll offer you a lifetime of love, fun, and snuggles.

More about this rescue

A New Leash on Life has a goal of saving all the adoptable pets about to die in the municipal shelters of Alabama until we become a NO KILL state. We rescue, provide veterinary care, provide a foster home or adoption center spot, and find adopters who are good matches for homeless dogs and cats...AND horses, pigs, rabbits, and any other animal who needs our help. All animals are fully vetted, including spay/neuter, microchip, vaccines, testing (HW for dogs, FIV/Felv for cats), and whatever else they need before adoption.
