Adelaide, or Addie as she’s lovingly called, is a low-energy sweetheart with a playful side that lights up her day. She’s a balance of independence and affection—content to snooze on the top of a cat tree or bask in screen-door time watching the squirrels and birds outside (her favorite pastime!). Addie is a born hunter at heart, so having a cozy window perch to watch the world go by is a must for this girl.

When it comes to play, Addie’s biggest motivator is the laser pointer. She’ll chase that little red dot with boundless enthusiasm—over furniture, up walls, and through obstacles—accompanied by her adorable chirps and meows. She also loves to “fetch,” though her version involves you throwing toy after toy for her to catch. Her excitement is infectious, and she’ll happily let you know when she’s ready for more.

Adelaide shows her love in her own unique way. She’s a chatty companion who loves one-on-one lap time, especially if there’s a blanket involved. If you scoop her up for a hug, she’ll hold on softly, purring peacefully against your chest. She’s also a gentle and loving friend to her feline housemates, snuggling up to groom them and engaging in soft, low-energy play.

While Addie is shy with new people and may retreat to her favorite small spaces, she thrives in a calm, patient environment. She’ll need a few days in a cozy carrier or crate to settle into her new home and may not be the type to join in when company visits unless they’re a familiar face.

Adelaide would do best in a home with another feline companion to share her days or with a person who works from home to keep her company. She’s well-behaved, polite (even around the Christmas tree!), and loves her routines.
