My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Haruto is a very sweet kitten who loves to cuddle and perch on your shoulders.

He unfortunately has renal disease (stage 2) due to either a congenital abnormality or prior toxin exposure. This means his life span is significantly reduced and he will need special care, including supplements to support his kidneys, a canned renal diet, and in the future he will eventually need daily sq fluids. He currently is doing wonderfully but does drink a lot of water. He was surrendered to a local shelter due to inappropriate elimination, which is when it was determined that he had renal disease. Haruto has been using the litterbox well at his foster home, but he does want to pee in the bathtub.

Haruto would need an adopter with patience and medical experience. He has so much love to give. If he doesn’t find a forever family, he will remain with the rescue as a sanctuary foster. He is neutered, tested Felv/FIV negative, microchipped and vaccinated.
