My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi there ! My name is Papaya and my foster calls me Piyah for short. I'm a 4 year old yorkie mix. My foster mommy and daddy tell me I'm a good girl all the time. I am very laid back and love to sleep. I am a good eater , get along with other dogs big and small and o boy do I love treats. Once I get used to you, I will follow you around the house and to the potty . I walk well on a leash. Although I don't love to be carried.  I don't mind car rides and once I'm in the car, I take a nap. I am crate trained and even sleep in there too. It's so cozy ! I'm a little momma so I do love being warm and do not like the cold or rain. I'd love a furever home for Christmas......is that you? I love children ! They usually drop food ruff ruff

Papaya would do best in a calmer environment that would let her rest, preferably with just her person and she does love people a patient and kind person who realize she needs time to be the best she can be!
Papaya is spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. She is still working on house training but doing well. She is dog and kid friendly.

Go meet their pets

Our rescues are with fosters on the east coast. The location in which the foster resides should be listed with each profile.

We are setting up some adoption events now, but are free for private meet and greets if you are interested in one of our adoptable pets!

More about this rescue

We have a passion for senior animals. To be able to save an animal from dying alone in a shelter, to give it a chance to live out its last days/months/years in a home with the proper care and love it deserves, instead of a cold shelter, is what drives us to keep going.

We obviously have financial needs that come with rescuing senior dogs, so we will be rescuing puppies and younger dogs as well so we are able to care for our seniors.
