My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Introducing Brinda, a 5-6 year-old Boxer mix with a heart full of love and resilience. At 46 pounds, she’s a gentle and sweet girl who’s already proven herself to be a true gem. Despite a rough start—facing euthanasia due to overcrowding and a lack of interest in her—Brinda is ready to start fresh and find her forever family.

Her journey hasn’t been easy. Brinda’s past left her with some scars, including the loss of her top teeth, possibly from being chained. But that doesn’t stop her from living her best life. She’s incredibly sweet, loving, and has quickly adapted to new experiences, like joining her first hike and doing wonderfully. She’s incredibly loyal and eager to share affection.

Brinda is housebroken, crate trained, and knows how to sit on command. She's a chill girl who loves her walks and adventures, so she’d do well in a slightly active home. Brinda has been with a foster family in Kentucky for the time being and is said to be doing wonderful. There are 2 other pups in the house who she loves the company of, and has even taken on the nurturing motherly role with. She’s also great with cats and kids, making her a wonderful family companion. Her foster also mentioned she's not food aggressive in the slightest, and doesn't jump or bark. Brinda really is the full package.

Thanks to her foster family in Kentucky, Brinda got the love she deserves but she’s now made her way to NJ and is still waiting for the perfect home where she can thrive. If you're looking for a sweet, loyal, and affectionate companion, Brinda might just be the perfect match for you. Apply today at https://peace4paws.org/adoption-application to meet this incredible girl and give her the second chance she’s been waiting for.

More about this rescue

Peace4paws is a 501 (c) 3 non profit public charity centered in Northern New Jersey. Through our foster home system, we are able to support the rehoming and adoption of dogs from kill shelters as well as facilities of research and related fields. Founded in 2007, our initial mission focused on supporting sanctuary and forever homes for animals retired from use in research and related fields. In the past few years we have broadened our scope of rescue. We continue to help our own retired research animals and independent sanctuaries but also save shelter dogs. We are able to do this work through the efforts of our volunteer network and generous donors. Please see our website or facebook page "Peace4Paws" to meet our adoptable dogs, success stories or volunteer opportunities. We organize fundraising events centered around yoga, music, health, or animal friendly activities. We are also involved with student outreach and education. We would love to work with you.
