My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This sweet boy is older and had a rough life. His brother passed away and is looking for a friend to go home with.

This affectionate boy is looking for a loving home of his own. He needs to be bonded with a brother which you can choose from at the Guinea Pig Sanctuary or if you have an existing piggy to bond him with that could work too. Guinea pigs are social animals and need to live in pairs unless otherwise noted. Please come visit him and his friends. No appointment needed.

Their adoption process

1.

Visit the Facility and Find a Pet

Families can come in any day (except Wednesday) during normal business hours to meet the piggies

2.

Sign Adoption Contract

Pictures every week for the first month are required so we know the piggies are happy and healthy

3.

Take the Pet Home

We have a full store and tons of free stuff to help set up your piggies at your home

Additional adoption info

The process involves spending about 30 minutes with us and the piggies to make sure it’s a good fit. We do ask for basic information: name, address, and phone number which we keep on file so we know where the guinea pigs are going. We require one picture a week for the first month just so that we know the piggies are happy and healthy. These pictures may be used on our website.

Piggies are $30 (if you already have a piggy) or $50 for 2.Guinea pigs need a companion.

If at any time you feel that you cannot take care of them anymore you can surrender them back to us but we don’t do adoption refunds. If a guinea pig dies within the first 30 days we request to see him to make sure there was no neglect. If it’s natural causes you can pick out another piggy. We do this so that abusers are not able to keep adopting. All of these rescues are healthy and happy so we just like to make sure they stay that way.

More about this rescue

We are just a family that cares about animals. Alex (the founder) became familiar with guinea pigs as care animals after he was burned in a bonfire. His dream is to rescue and re-home as many guinea pigs as he can. He says that all piggies deserve an awesome forever home. We offer family days so that other kids can learn about guinea pigs and what it takes to care for them. We also offer play days when families can come have fun with the piggies and take pictures.
