Gillffore aka Gilley is a 19 month old toddler that greets with his mouth. He likes playing with his older shepherd friend in his foster home and gets along very well with the much smaller dogs in the home. Gilley is toy and ball driven and loves a game of tug of war with the rope. He can be a bit of a tricky eater until he finds a food he likes. No foot is safe when he wants to lay down. He’ll curl up on a dog bed on occasion. His preferred place to sleep is on your feet when you’re sitting in a chair. He sleeps through the night in his kennel, but gets very excited when he starts to hear people moving. He’s a beautiful boy that loves getting affection from his people. He’s a young dog and will need all of the training that every young dog needs so that he can become an essential part of the family.
Gilley walks fairly well on leash with the assistance of a prong collar. He's now figured out the dog door and has had no accidents since then. Once in the truck he rides well, but needs help getting in. He enjoys playing with the other dogs, but could probably do fine as an only dog too.
Regular exercise and training will help bond him to his new people and will make him into a good citizen as well.
Cats and small critters unknown.

That means we don't adopt out of our area, to Southern California, or out of state.
Puppy Requirements
We have special Requirements for Adopting a Puppy and a separate Puppy Questionnaire that must be completed on puppies. Please see our Requirements for Adopting a Puppy (https://www.gcgsr.org/puppies.html) email us at info@gcgsr.org for more information.
