Starr is living in foster home in Madison, Wisconsin.

Starr is about five years old and weighs around 20 pounds. Starr found herself needing rescue as her elderly owner was no longer able to keep her or the large breed dog in the home (who went to a Saint Bernard rescue). Starr fit in really well at her foster home. She’s fostered with dogs of all shapes and sizes and she does well with all of the other dogs but really likes people best. She’s super calm and she’s been quiet in her foster home. Starr was able to sleep in the bed with her foster mom and she really enjoys that.

Our rescue adopts to Wisconsin and Illinois. Our requirements for Illinois applications are: excellent vet history, no children under 7 in the home, and an owned home. Wisconsin does not have these requirements, though we will not consider applications where pets are missing core veterinary care.

Our process includes an approved application, reference checks, a homevisit, and once
approved a meet and greet with the dog. Adoption fee is $250.
