With 3 legs, Hazelnut will easily warm his way into your heart.
Hazelnut was brought to PAWS with a broken right hind leg. His leg was amputated before Thanksgiving and has been healing wonderfully. You’d be amazed how fast he zooms around! He hasn’t figured out jumping quite yet but loves to be carried to the window to see cars and people going by. We’re working on discouraging play biting but he is an absolute lovebug otherwise and loves attention.
Hazelnut would do well with dogs, older children and/or cats (depending on what his definitive FeLV status is going to be). He tested positive for FeLV and will require repeat testing in about a month to see if this is a true positive.
**Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV) is a virus that is specific to cats that weakens a cat’s immune system. Cats with FeLV can live normal, happy, healthy lives—but with a shorter life expectancy than cats without FeLV. At PAWS, we believe every pet deserves to live out their life in a loving home for whatever time they have. We hope you'll consider opening your home to this special kitty! For more information feel free to check out the FeLV FAQs we have available on our website!**
FeLV+ adopters are also eligible for an Amazon gift card after adoption! Our staff can let you know more during/after bringing your new pet home!
