My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet the adorable Ruby Sue from our Christmas Vacation litter! Shes a delightful little girl with a personality that sparkles. While she patiently waits for her forever family, Ruby Sue is having a blast being fostered with her playful and quirky brothers, Clark and Cousin Eddie. But lets be honestkeeping up with her energetic brothers can be pretty tiring, so shes hoping to find her forever home soon! Ruby Sue loves zooming around the house and playing in the snow. She has a blast crawling under furniture and playing with her brothers, including their big, gentle 90-pound foster brother! But dont be fooled by her playful sidethere are plenty of times when Ruby Sue just wants to snuggle up in a lap and enjoy some cuddle time. If youre looking for a sweet cuddle bug, Ruby Sue is definitely the one for you! Shes making great progress with her crate training; she might whine a little at first, but she settles down quickly and sleeps through the night. Ruby Sue is also improving her potty training every day. She cant wait to meet her new family! We estimate that this litter was born around end of September and that they'll be 40-60 lb full-grown. We never saw their parents and are unsure of their exact breed mix. Our best guess is that they are Pit mixes (mutts). DNA results pending! Ruby Sue will complete her vet care on Monday, January 6th, 2025 and then be ready to go to her forever home a day or two later depending on how she's feeling. Our puppy adoption fee is $300. If you're interested in adopting, please submit an application at savedbyfate.org and we'll be in touch ASAP! A meet with any approved applicant's current pets and entire family will be required prior to starting the 2-week adoption trial period. Please visit our website savedbyfate.org to learn more about this amazing pet and to see other available dogs and cats.

Additional adoption info

SBF adoptions start off with a 2-week trial period to ensure that the SBF dog is a good fit for your family and current pets. The adoption fee is due the day an adopter starts the 2-week trial period. If the adoption does not work out within those two weeks, the adopter will be refunded all but a $50 donation, or they can put the fee towards another adoptable dog.

More about this rescue

Saved by Fate is a dog rescue organization in Central Kentucky that specializes in pulling dogs at high risk of euthanasia from Kentucky shelters. SBF was founded by Mara DeLaus and Ciara Hagedorn in 2022. After years of volunteering for a fellow organization, they saw a significant need for additional rescue resources in their area. SBF is an entirely foster and volunteer based organization that does not have a physical location or kennel at this time.
