Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Sweet Lady Portabella is looking for her forever home in a patient and cozy environment after a rough start in life. This little lady came into the program with six babies as practically a baby herself. She did a great job raising them and is now ready for her next adventure!
Lady P requires a lot of patience, treats, and reassurance as she starts meeting new people. Busy environments tend to be overwhelming for her, but once she’s with her people, that’s all she could ever pay attention to! She gives the sweetest kisses and warmest cuddles on these cold winter nights.
She is mostly potty trained and will benefit from a regular routine to avoid any potty accidents inside. She’s kennel trained but sometimes needs some encouragement via treats to go into the kennel. She occasionally likes to steal tissues or napkins for her collection but with time, she’ll figure out dog toys are much more fun. She needs some extra support when getting into cars and going through doors, but does great being led with a leash or carried. When in doubt, always pull out the treats! Can you give this loving girl a warm home for the holidays?

Adoption Process
We have an open adoption policy, so there is no application or interview process. We simply ask that you meet the pet in person before adoption. We have adoption specialists that will help you find the right pet for your family.
Adoption Center
The Adoption Center is located at 7500 N. Western Ave, Oklahoma City, OK 73116. Our Adoption Center is a totally new concept in Oklahoma City where dogs have comfortable, expanded kennels and cats stay in “living rooms” with furniture and toys.
Pets by Appointment
Some amazing dogs get stressed out in a kennel environment like our Adoption Center, and much prefer staying at their foster home until they find their new family. If you see a dog on our website that says “E-Mail to Meet Me” that means that this furry friend is just a click away from getting a ride to the Adoption Center to meet you in person.
Adoption Fees
Adult dogs are $150 to adopt, puppies are $200 to adopt, adult cats are $75 to adopt and kittens are $95 to adopt. All of our pets are microchipped, spayed or neutered, treated with all age-appropriate vaccinations and flea, tick, and heartworm preventative prior to being cleared for adoption, so we put a lot of effort and monetary investment into each of our animals including a two-week quarantine period in a foster home. These adoption fees help cover the costs of our animals’ health and well-being!
