Aurora is a sweet, spunky, affectionate, active, independent, curious, adorable, 7-month-old tabby and white, spayed female whose father is a Lynx Point. Aurora loves attention and affection from her foster mom and from others. She is a little purr machine.
At night, when she isn’t playing you can find her sleeping on her foster mom’s bed, sometimes with her foster mom’s 95lb, cat friendly dog and one of her foster mom’s cats. She also loves to give kisses and cuddles to her foster mom while they both are lying on the bed. Aurora likes playing with her humans with a Vee purrfect wand cat toy and a laser pointer. She can keep herself entertained playing with and carrying around plastic balls, springs, sparkly balls and catnip mice. Her all time recent favorite is to take her sparkly ball and toss it into the empty bathtub and play with it in there. She keeps herself entertained for long periods of time. When her mom comes into the bathroom, Aurora will bring her the ball to toss, so she can play fetch. She also likes to fish toys out from her Frisco interactive wooden maze toy box and play with her ball tower, batting the balls round and round.
Aurora would cuddle with, clean and take care of her father cat who recently became incontinent after a tail-pull accident. She adores him, but has adjusted to being separated from him and is slowly accepting one of the two cats in her foster home. Aurora also rubs up against the foster mom’s dog and sniffs noses with him.
Aurora initially growls and hisses at new cats and she can be a little bossy, especially when they are drinking fresh water out of “her” water bowl which she will inform them of by batting them with her paw while they are drinking. She is also a talker and will let her foster mom know when she is hungry, wants to play or isn’t getting her water bowl filled with fresh water fast enough.
Aurora would be a great addition to a family as long as the children were gentle and respectful of Aurora. She would also do well with one or two adults in a home. With a slow introduction and a little time, Aurora should make best friends with an outgoing, cat friendly, playful kitten or cat. She would do well with a cat friendly, dog.
Aurora is not a picky eater, loves her Nulo wet food and has good litter box habits. She is spayed, current on vaccines, has been treated for fleas and worms, and will be chipped before she is adopted. Aurora lives in a Beaverton foster home and her adoption fee is $185.
