My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Bubbly

Bubbly's mantra is "NEW YEAR, NEW YOU"
This beautiful tuxedo man isn't living his authentic, best self yet...BUT 2025 is going to be all about the love for this man!

Bubbly came into the SPCA living a bit rough. He has his toe beans crossed for a new warm home with people who understand his fear and are ready to help him trust again.

Bubbly is pretty overwhelmed at the shelter- and who can blame him? He currently is not a cat that would not do well in the public viewing areas (as such we ask that you talk to staff and put in an application if you are considering adopting this gentleman). He likes his wet food at the shelter and is hopeful his new home will bribe him with all the treats!

Bubbly is looking for a home that understands that this man's loving will take some patience and lots of kindness!

The BC SPCA is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for domestic, farm and wild animals in British Columbia. Through its locations and operations across the province the BC SPCA provides emergency medical care and sheltering for more than 37,000 animals each year. The society also conducts more than 4,600 cruelty investigations and provides a wide range of advocacy and education programs for domestic, farm and wild animals through its Provincial Office.

Our mission, vision and charter is at the heart of all we do to rescue, protect and care for animals. It is also the driving force behind our animal welfare and education programs.

Our Charter:

The BC SPCA Charter is the foundation that guides the work we do:

Whereas:

The world is inhabited by many species sharing a common ecosystem of air, earth, and water. We recognize and value our interconnectedness with all animals.

Therefore:

The BC Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for the animals of the world we share.

We pledge our energies to inspire and mobilize society to create a world in which all animals, who depend on humans for their well-being, experience, as a minimum, five essential freedoms:

1. Freedom from hunger and thirst

2. Freedom from pain, injury, and disease

3. Freedom from distress

4. Freedom from discomfort

5. Freedom to express behaviours that promote well-being.
