My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

A very sweet bob-tailed boy! His foster parent writes: As far as his personality he is extremely playful, loves to explore, loves lots of affection and being the center of attention. He enjoys sitting on the couch or cat tree watching the birds fly around outside. He also loves playing with his cat toys. When hes not playing he likes following you around the house to see what youre up to. He is very curious and always needs to know whats going on. When he's ready for a nap he likes being snuggled up next to you or on your lap with a warm blanket sprawled out. He is very sweet, rambunctious, and is a huge lover.

More about this rescue

Gem City Kitties is a Non-Profit rescue that works in conjunction with Gem City Catfe. Gem City Catfe is a Cat Cafe in Dayton Ohio which combines coffee and delicious baked goods with cat interaction and adoption. The Cafe side is completely separate from the Cat side and there are separate HVAC systems which keeps us allergy friendly!

We envision Dayton as a place in which all of our feline friends are valued, protected, and treated with empathy, and compassion. We seek to end the euthanasia of healthy animals due to overpopulation through adoption and education. Our commitment to community outreach and education-based programs highlights these important issues:

•Reducing re-homing of pets for behavioral concerns through proper training techniques

•Spaying and neutering owned pets

•Coexisting responsibly with community cats

•Adopting rather than purchasing pets

•Explaining why declawing is inhumane and often creates health and behavioral complications, and providing nonsurgical, humane alternatives

•Showcasing enrichment for indoor cats and recommending owned cats to live indoors
