About Lenny:
Lenny was part of a sibling group that was taken into a shelter. From the shelter he was transferred to rescue to get him into a foster home setting.
Lenny is a tri coloured, wiry coat puppy, so our guesses are schnauzer mix or terrier mix. Best thoughts are that he may be 15-20 lbs full grown. Lenny can have a bundle of puppy energy at times. When he is ready to snooze he loves to curl into your lap for zzzz’s. Loving beyond words, adoring everything and all people. He was born late August of this year so is a youngster and acts as one. He adores the outdoors, even in the snow, so a backyard that is fully fenced is a must. No apartments or condos please. He is self entertaining but one does need to keep an eye on him as he is a puppy with a desire to find new things. He loves toys, especially crinkle or squeaker ones. He tends to collect them and stash them in several favourite spots. Lenny is not yet leash trained. A crate is only provided for nighttime sleep. He is quiet until he hears the morning rumblings of the household. He eats his kibble with gusto; currently three times a day. Continuing encouragement is needed for learning to potty outside but we have had some success. Best scenario would be that he can be a companion to another fun loving dog. He does sometimes display some shyness so it is best if his people are home with him and engage him in activities. Lenny is a marvellous puppy who is searching for his warm and safe home.
While he has some learning to do, given his age, this is an ideal time for an adopter to work with him on routines to be the best companion he can be.
