My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Approximate Date of Birth:2/18/2020

Description:

Hi there, I’m Misty—a petite, cuddly, and chatty young lady looking for a fresh start. Life has been tough lately. I lost both my human parents in a short time, and while my human sister gave me a temporary home, her cat just isn’t interested in being friends.  All I want is a cozy, quiet home to call my own, where I can snuggle on your lap, purr to my heart’s content, and maybe have a little chat with you now and then. I promise, I’ll fill your days with love, warmth, and lots of kitty companionship. If you’re looking for a sweet, affectionate companion who’s been through a lot but still has so much love to give, I could be your purr-fect match. Let’s make some happy memories together.

Words to Describe Me: loving, playful, talkative

Favorite Place to Sleep: Snuggled on a blanket that belonged to my mom—it makes me feel safe.

Favorite Toy: Wand toy

Perfect Day: Relaxing on your chest or lap, soaking up chin scratches, and chasing my wand toy in between cuddles.

Kitty's Likes: Chin scratches, lap time, torso petting, and Temptations treats (yum!)

Kitty's Dislikes: Belly rubs—no, thank you! And I’d rather keep my paws on the ground than be held.

Fastest Way to Get Me to Purr: Chin scratches

Job Title in Foster: Social Committee Director. I'm shy but warm up quickly

When I Grow Up, I Want to Be: Olympic High jumper. Watch me soar when I’m chasing my favorite toy!

Other Info: Misty wants a home where she can be the #1 gal and spend time with her humans.

Additional adoption info

Go meet their pets

Some of our "ready to adopt" felines are located at one of our Arizona PetSmart locations. https://www.savingonelife.org/adopt/locations/

We also have a small satellite operation in San Diego with adoption events on select Saturdays at the PetSmart Escondido store.

We highly recommend applying in advance in order to increase your opportunity at adopting the kitty you are interested in. Applications are processed in the order they were received. If you have questions, please email adoptions@savingonelife.org.

More about this rescue

Saving One Life is a completely foster based, volunteer run, never kill rescue. Our motto is that although we can't save the world, it makes a world of difference to the ones we do save.

If you find a litter of kittens or your cat accidentally got pregnant - please contact us if you are able to foster them at intake@savingonelife.org. We cannot take in more animals without foster homes. All supplies and vet care will be taken care of - all you have to do is open your home and heart to them until they can find homes of their own!

All of our adoptable animals are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, tested for felv/fiv (Cats), dewormed, and microchipped. Adoption fees range depending on the animal's age and breed. All adoption fees assist other animals in our care - we do not have any paid employees. We are a completely never kill group that provides sanctuary to any "unadoptable" animals that come into our care including hospice care.
