FIONA ~5 years old. Good with some dogs. Not good with cats. Kids TBD.
GSRA adopts to residents of VA, NC, and SC only.
Fiona is a high-spirited, energetic, affectionate girl of about 5 years old who would love to be your loyal companion. She craves attention from people and loves to be the center of attention. She is smart, eager to learn, and motivated by both praise and treats. It’s hard to believe that this beautiful soul was found as a stray. It is evident that in her former life, someone took the time to train her. She is excellent in her crate, but she also can be trusted to roam freely when her humans are sleeping or when they are away. She is house trained, knows several commands, walks beautifully on a leash, responds favorably to correction, and has strong recall. She patiently waits for her meals and politely and gently takes treats. Fiona adores the outdoors — whether on a neighborhood walk or tracking the steps of squirrels and deer in the front yard. A fence would be wonderful in her new home, as her nose could lead her down the wrong path if not contained.
Fiona would likely do well in a home where she can be the alpha, but also would be happy as an only dog. She enjoys independent play with a variety of toys and doesn’t depend on another dog to play with her.
