My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Duke -- The Duke of Dogs! Duke is a mature 6 year old who has experienced many things and learned many things in his short life. What does he know? Duke knows he really loves humans and enjoys hanging out with them wherever they are. He loves his doggy beds which means he doesn't get on the furniture or hog your bed at night. He really enjoys when you get down on the floor with him. He will come over to you and just plop on your lap. This is so he can get lots and lots of love and attention!! Duke also enjoys the company of other dogs, ones that he can play with by wrestling on the floor laying down. He will do some running around the yard with them. This may happen more once he loses some weight.

What else has Duke learned in his life. He has learned that he has to have insulin 2x per day. He is a really good dog when it comes to getting his shots. You feed him and when he is all done, he comes and sits nicely waiting for you to give him his shot and of course the treat he gets for doing all of this so nicely! We are hoping that as Duke loses some weight that this will help with his insulin needs. He will probably always need it but hopefully in smaller quantities.

Duke -- the Duke of Dogs
--loves dogs
--loves humans
--enjoys a good bone
--no need for a crate - free roam is perfect as far he is concerned
--doggy door to be able to go out when he needs would be amazing but not required (extra potty trips are needed due to his diabetes)

PLEASE get your app in and help us find this loving sweet dog a home! If you can't adopt, please let your friends know!!

Friendly, happy house trained 6 year old.

Duke needs insulin every day.

Also..Very loving, Dog friendly, Gentle & Happy, Well behaved guy.

He doesn’t make a big deal out of his daily shots. Makes it very easy!
