Our hearts hurt for Schmitty! His owner no longer had time for him and he arrived to the shelter on 12/21. Schmitty is 9 years young and weighs in at 18 pounds. He is so precious! He knows to sit especially if you have a treat. He gives all his attention to his person. He has only one eye but it does not slow this boy down. It is reported that he is house trained, good with cats and dogs. Does your heart hurt for Schmitty too? Would you give him a home for his golden years? Ask for ID# 7099 Run 322. He will not be neutered at the shelter due to his age. He will be micro-chipped and he tested negative for heart worm.

Cobb County Animal Services was established in 1971. As part of Cobb's Department of Public Safety, we serve the entire county, protecting the residents and animals of Cobb.
The mission of the Cobb County Animal Services Unit is to enforce state laws and county ordinances pertaining to animal control and management; educate the community on responsible pet ownership and wildlife care and provide housing and care for homeless animals, while coordinating their adoptions when possible and humane euthanization when adoptions are not possible.
