My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Wilma. She is a pom mix who was surrendered to the shelter when her elderly owner went to the hospital.

She is absolutely amazing and loves to cuddle. She plays with other dogs, is great with kids tolerates cats and is a sweetheart.

She is spayed and upto date on vaccines. She is house broken as long as you take her out on a schedule.

She rarely barks and is crate trained. She would do well in any home. To adopt please fill out an application on our website www.L4DR.org

Our adoption application can be found here: www.l4dr.org

We do not require that the adopter have a fenced yard, however, it is preferable. The main focus will be making sure the dog can be properly exercised and be kept safe.

More about this rescue

The name Lancaster Four is in honor of four puppies rescued from a backyard breeder in Lancaster California. They were very sick and malnourished. These dogs sparked an investigation into animal abuse in the foster's home where 21 dogs were found in various degrees of illness/injuries. Unfortunately 2 of the puppies passed away.

Lancaster Four Dog Rescue began by rescuing the two surviving puppies and their parents. The puppies were sold with no contracts or spay/neuter agreements. The mother was sold on craigslist un-spayed without a home check or contract for $60.00 all of which went against the requirements set forth before placing with this rescue. Another dog was set to be euthanized because the rescue refused to reclaim the dog.

We continue to work with adopters of other dogs from this so called rescue and assist them in whatever they need.
