My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

How this pet arrived:
Bee was brought in by her previous owner.

At SDHS:
Bee has been vaccinated, microchipped and spayed/neutered and is now ready for her new home!

Why Bee might be for you:
Meet Bee! This sweet girl came into our care with a history of living mostly outdoors. Due to her history, she is still learning the ins and outs of the manners that come with being an indoor dog. She is a high energy lady who would enjoy a home with ample opportunity to play indoors and outdoors in safe and secure areas as she has been known to be a little escape artist. Her perky ears, sweet brown eyes, and beautiful beige color will win your heart over. She is a shy girl who is looking for a a patient and loving home to call her own. She will benefit from dog savvy people who are familiar with positive reinforcement methods. The San Diego Humane Society is happy to help you with tips and resources for training Bee. She is smart and she is treat motivated which makes training her a breeze! If you are interested in learning more about Bee, come to our San Diego campus and speak to an adoption counselor to learn more.

More about this shelter

San Diego Humane Society, an open-admission shelter, is creating a more humane world by inspiring compassion and advancing the welfare of animals and people. Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County. We not only care for 50,000 animals in our communities but also share the expertise we have gained through our innovative programs with shelters nationwide so they can save more lives in their communities.

While our influence is expanding nationally, our top priority is meeting the needs of San Diego. We provide exceptional care for all animals through world-class veterinary medicine, shelter and most of all: love.
