My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Elizabeth! Meet Elizabeth, a gentle giant with an extra-large heart to match her size! This shy but sweet girl has a calm and thoughtful demeanor that will melt your heart. While she may take a little time to come out of her shell, her love for the great outdoors shines through from the start.

Elizabeth thrives in open spaces where she can explore and enjoy the fresh air. She's the perfect companion for someone who appreciates peaceful walks, quiet moments, and a loyal friend by their side.
*Elizabeth is waiting or her surgery date and will be available as Foster-To-Adopt only*

If you're ready to give Elizabeth the patience and love she needs to blossom, you'll be rewarded with a lifetime of devotion from this one-of-a-kind pup. Could you be the perfect match for her extra-large heart?

Come meet Elizabeth and let her show you how special she truly is!

The BC SPCA is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for domestic, farm and wild animals in British Columbia. Through its locations and operations across the province the BC SPCA provides emergency medical care and sheltering for more than 37,000 animals each year. The society also conducts more than 4,600 cruelty investigations and provides a wide range of advocacy and education programs for domestic, farm and wild animals through its Provincial Office.

Our mission, vision and charter is at the heart of all we do to rescue, protect and care for animals. It is also the driving force behind our animal welfare and education programs.

Our Charter:

The BC SPCA Charter is the foundation that guides the work we do:

Whereas:

The world is inhabited by many species sharing a common ecosystem of air, earth, and water. We recognize and value our interconnectedness with all animals.

Therefore:

The BC Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for the animals of the world we share.

We pledge our energies to inspire and mobilize society to create a world in which all animals, who depend on humans for their well-being, experience, as a minimum, five essential freedoms:

1. Freedom from hunger and thirst

2. Freedom from pain, injury, and disease

3. Freedom from distress

4. Freedom from discomfort

5. Freedom to express behaviours that promote well-being.
