Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
Poppy is a gentle and quiet 4-year-old gray tabby with a luxurious soft coat, looking for a new favourite person. She is very shy until she gets to know you, then she will snuggle with you in bed and purr as long as you will let her. She is affectionate and will bond with a single person. She seems to prefer women as they easily approach without spooking her. She is curious and is always looking in corners and dark places for mice (she caught one the other day). She is generally quiet, with occasional bouts of the zoomies. She attacks her scratching post and leaves the furniture alone. Poppy came to us as a rescue from a shelter. There likely was trauma in her past and she needs a quiet home with understanding and nurturing humans, without kids, dogs or other cats. She still startles easily and is terrified of children (something in her past?). Give her a safe and loving environment and she will return the affection and warmth. Fee C$100 donation to the Uxbridge-Scugog shelter.
