My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

If you could pack all the best qualities of a dog into a small package you would get Panini. She is snuggles and love, playful energy and enthusiasm, and all the charm. You will never wonder how Panini is feeling either, partially because of that sparkle in her eye and the endless wag of there tail, but also because she is just joyful by nature. She is the epitome of how rescue dogs radiate awe and appreciation that is undeniable. With all that tail-wagging enthusiasm and wiggly excitement it is no surprise that she is a friend to everyone she meets, Panini turns strangers into besties in a greeting. Her glowing nature and love for connection make her the perfect fit for an out-going, fun-loving family.
Look at her cuteness in action then come back and read more- https://youtu.be/SJrh47RzeE8

Panini is in the middle days of puppy hood, still a young pup ready and eager to learn but with enough maturity that you can hold her attention. If we said she had potential it might make you think she needs work but that would be misleading. She comes set with a heap of skills that many dogs have to be trained on, basic leash skills, doggie manners, and a gentle approach. She has a solid set of manners and awareness. She’s working on trading her occasional jumping-for-joy moments for sitting politely when greeting new people—but her enthusiasm is nothing short of endearing and thanks to her size it is hard to even bat a lash at.

Panini enjoys going for walks and has the basics of leash walking down. Like any young dog, she’ll benefit from consistent training to polish her skills. She’s naturally curious about the world and her friendly nature shows when passing other dogs- she is happy and leads with friendly greetings and an invitation to play, but with only a bit of gentle direction, she is easy to guide. This girl also has all the makings of a perfect family dog, gentle, snuggly, attentive and mindful of space in such a caring way. Pick up the stuffies though, we learned very quickly that she adores toys with a special affection for stuffies- she hasn’t destroyed anything but until she knows the difference between hers and theirs it’ll help the kids keep the living space picked up-bonus for you! When meeting new dogs, Panini can occasionally feel a little unsure but more often you will see that she is friendly, and playful. She thrives in playgroups with a variety of dogs from huge to small with a variety of play styles and energy levels.

She would love a home with a moderately playful dog to romp around with. As for feline-friends, Panini’s easygoing nature shines. She was avoidant, aka-respectfully cautious, meeting our house cat. Thanks to her age and respectfully cautious approach, a home with a dog-savvy cat that appreciates her respectful distance could work well.

Panini would thrive in a home with a yard where she can run off the last stretch of puppy energy in her with a buddy though she could adapt to no-yard living with the right level of activity and attention. Her ideal adopters will be patient and committed to helping her continue to grow into the amazing dog she is already showing all the signs of being.

This perfectly packaged, sweet, silly pup has so much love to give and is sure to bring joy to any family lucky enough to call her their own. Ready to make Panini a part of your life? Apply today and let her wiggle her way into your heart!

https://g.co/kgs/UQ5Pyai We care deeply about making the perfect match between dog and family for long term success.

Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress!

Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond.

Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet.

The rescue’s hard costs alone (excluding transport) for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,368. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the adoption fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. Transport is a significant additional expense to the rescue.
While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that the rescue does not receive government funding and must fundraise to offset the remaining expense balance which ranges $100-1,000++ per animal on these direct costs.

It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS:

Did you know that the Greater Houston area faces some of the highest stray and overpopulation rates in the nation? We are a non profit charity. Our goal is simple— to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and by rescuing animals from the streets or overcrowded shelters where euthanasia due to lack of space is often the only option. The dog you've found online is not only lucky to be in our program, but also incredibly fortunate to have caught your eye. Thank you for considering adoption and for joining us in our mission!
