My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello! My name is Joey and I am a seven month, 6-pound male purebred Bichon Frise puppy. My foster mom says "they don't come any sweeter than me"! I'm a pretty chill guy for being a puppy, I love to play with my foster sister and go for walks. But I'm also a lover and love to cuddle on my humans lap. My BROC aunties require that I go to my forever home with another pup in the home. They feel that's the best for me and I love to play with other pups, so that works for me. I am loved and well-cared for with my foster family but I am looking for my forever home. Im microchipped and I will have a vet exam prior to adoption. If you have room in your heart and home for me, please complete an adoption application. https://bichonrescueoc.org/adoption-application Please visit our website www.bichonrescueoc.org to learn more about this amazing pet and to see other available dogs.

Go meet their pets

Our rescues are housed in foster homes and may be seen by appointment by adopters who have completed our application process.
We hope to partner with our local pet stores for public viewing and we participate regularly in Adoption events like the Home for the Holidays events held annually in June and December at the Irvine Animal Care Center and the Pet Expo which occurs annually in April.

More about this rescue

Bichon Rescue of Orange County (BROC) was organized to address the ever increasing number of senior bichons and other small breeds that are being surrendered by their owners and dropped off at local shelters in Orange County. Through the Seniors for Seniors Program we are committed to cultivating our senior citizens both as volunteer fosters and as adopters. The Seniors for Seniors Program will encourage qualified Senior adopters to adopt senior pups.
We have over fifteen years of combined history in rescue and a team of dedicated volunteers, committed to our Mission.
