Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Meet Rocky, listed as a Smooth Collie (my Dog Scanner app suggests the possiblity of his breed mix being Flat Coated Retriever) that was picked up and brought to the Mesquite Animal Shelter on 12/6 with another family dog Daisy. They were abandoned by their owners in their home. Rocky weighs 39 pounds, is about two years old and was neutered on 12/18. He is Mr. Personality! He is a goofy, life-of-the-party kind of guy, spunky, energetic, and very lively! He is playful and wants to engage you, but wasn’t particularly interested in toys. He is friendly, affectionate, and tried to climb into my lap. Rocky knows the sit command and he walks well on a leash. He is possibly house trained. Rocky seems to have been well cared for and yet was left behind by the people he trusted most. He seems nervous in his kennel with the barking of the other dogs and yet when I got him out of his kennel and into a room in which he could move about and where it was quiet, he came alive! He loves treats and takes him gently. He would make someone that would stay committed to him a wonderful pet. He needs daily exercise, playtime, and interaction and above all wants to be an inside dog!
